Our Commitment to Crystal-Clear Sound

Behind every flawless final mix is a rock-solid process—and at Soup Audio, quality isn’t an afterthought, it’s built in. Our Audio Quality Control (QC) Checklist is the framework we use to ensure every project meets the highest technical, creative, and industry standards.

From dialogue clarity and dynamic balance to sync accuracy and spatial precision, we check every box so you don’t have to worry about a thing—except how good it sounds.

B. Quality Control (QC) Check

Sync & Timing
• Ensure perfect lip-sync and correct timing between audio and video.

• Test playback across different systems to ensure synchronization.

Volume Levels
• Maintain consistent levels across dialogue, music, and SFX.

• Prevent clipping (max. 0 dBFS) and adhere to LUFS standards (e.g., -23 LUFS for broadcast, -14 LUFS for streaming).

Sound Clarity
• Ensure clear, intelligible dialogue free of distortion (check using spectral analysis).

• Remove any unwanted audio artifacts (e.g., pops, hums, clicks).

Audio Transitions
• Ensure smooth transitions between scenes and sound types.

• Use crossfades where necessary to eliminate jarring volume changes.

Surround Sound/Spatialization

• Confirm accurate panning and spatial placement for 3D sound environments (e.g., 5.1, 7.1, Atmos).

Loudness Meters: iZotope Insight or Waves WLM for LUFS, True Peak, and dynamic range monitoring.

Spectral Analyzers: Izotope RX or Spek to identify frequency issues (e.g., hums, buzzes).

Waveform Analysis: Adobe Audition or Pro Tools to detect clipping, distortion, or missing audio.

Surround Sound Tools: Waves 3D Panner, Dolby Atmos Renderer for proper panning and mix verification.

Playback Systems: Test the final mix on multiple systems (headphones, studio monitors, portable devices) to ensure consistent sound.

Media Player Testing: Ensure compatibility across all media players (QuickTime, VLC, etc.).
